Layton Services is growing! We are currently seeking Mainline Operators to join our team.

We are an Excavation company that has been family-owned & operated for 20+ years. We specialize in Site Work (mass excavation, building pads, sub-grade prep) and Underground Utilities (water, sanitary, storm). We are located in Newark with majority of our work in Columbus, Ohio.

A "Mainline" Operator is someone who can excavate a trench on grade to install mainline waterline, sanitary, and storm, according to project plans. They must be able to excavate around existing utilities with precision. Preferably, they can operate multiple types of machinery.

Education and/or Experience:

• 3+ years construction/site work experience, required.
• 1+ years of digging to install mainline utilities, required.
• Knowledge of blueprints, pipe knowledge, and trenching safety, required.
• 10 hour OSHA Certificate in Construction, required but can obtain once hired.
• 1 hour Certification for Excavations, required but can obtain once hired.
• High School Diploma, preferred.

Other:

• Insurable, Valid Driver's License - preferred.
• Ability to relate well to others, a positive attitude and willingness to learn.
